It is generally expected that the contact authors of full papers scheduled for presentation will secure their own travel funding for attending the symposium. Scholarships will be awarded to some young researchers, who are 40 years old or younger, on the final day of ARMS8 (16 October, 2014) for attending the symposium.

Types of Scholarships

Currently, the scholarship selection committee of ARMS8 runs two different scholarships.

  • Scholarship A:   150,000 Japanese Yen.

  • Scholarship B:   50,000 Japanese Yen.

Each scholarship is granted to the contact author for a particular paper.

Scholarships are non-transferable.

Only the granted amount, mentioned in the e-mail on scholarships, will be paid out to the awarded contact author personally at the Banquet of ARMS8.

If this paper is withdrawn before the symposium or if for any reason this paper is not presented at the symposium, even if the author who has been awarded the scholarship is present at the symposium, the award has to be returned.
