Aims & Scope
This international electronic journal is an open-access journal with the aims of providing research articles, express letters, technical notes, and easy-to-understand reviews with high academic value in the field of rock mechanics and rock engineering. Our goal is to use these findings as a basis to contribute to the further development of science and technology related to this field.This electronic journal welcomes submissions of reviews, research articles, express letters, and technical notes that contain practical content for various problems in the field of rock mechanics and rock engineering. The main themes encompass theories, surveys, testing, design, analysis, construction, risk management, and environmental conservation for both surface and underground facilities. These include facilities related to earth resources, slopes, tunnels, underground cavities, dam and bridge foundations, energy infrastructure, geological disposal sites for radioactive waste, and underground storage for greenhouse gases. The focus also extends to foundations and natural geological formations. Submitted manuscripts must be of a high scientific and technical standard, contributing to advancements in rock mechanics and rock engineering. At minimum, manuscripts should clarify the significance of the research by addressing (1) the practical problems the research aims to solve or (2) how the research outcomes can be applied. Manuscripts—whether reviews, research articles, express letters, or technical notes—will undergo peer review by at least two experts in the relevant field. We may also invite suitable experts to submit manuscripts that align with these objectives, with publication contingent upon successful peer review.
